“Fans of the film will devour the TV series…” ~ New York Daily News
Just when Hollywood is about to get all serious on us with Oscar bait fall films, Netflix is here to make sure you can savor summer fun. Ten cool, exciting, bloody, one-hour Dusk episodes will be available to watch before season two comes out early 2015.
“The series has far better production values, and a spare style that is reminiscent of other prestige crime shows-Breaking Bad for atmosphere and True Detective for storytelling techniques.” ~ AV Club
The series expands on the original film’s story and characters, following the Gecko Brothers on their run to Mexico. The Brothers take former pastor Jacob Fuller and his children hostage, using the family RV to cross the border. Chaos ensues when the group ends up at a strip club populated by vampires. The series deepens the tone of the film, adds new characters and story-lines, and explores the Mesoamerican mythology behind the creatures inside the club. You don’t want to miss one thrilling minute.
Take a quick look at the show’s main characters from season one and get ready for, as El Rey aptly describes it, “…a white-knuckled suicide leap into a chum bucket filled with the sex, gore, and fist-pumping action that’ll have you screaming.”
