E-Bikes for Smart Cities - Urban Solutions via Pedelec and E-Bike at CeBIT 2013

From 5 to 9 March 2013, it`s all about “E-Bikes for Smart Cities” at CeBIT 2013. ExtraEnergy and EnergyBus will present Urban Solutions via pedelec and e-Bike at the special exhibition in hall 11 at booth no. F74. Visitors can expect the ExtraEnergy Test IT Parcours, the latest generation of electric bikes and concentrated knowledge of future Light Electric Vehicle (LEV) charging infrastructure.

The CeBIT is the world`s leading high-tech event. This year, the no. 1 event for the digital world focusses on the persuasive power of electric two wheelers. In addition, EnergyBus will present CANopen based future for LEVs like pedelecs and e-Bikes.

Urban Solutions
Intelligent transportation infrastructure which combines pedelecs/e-bikes and public transportation will improve e-mobility of cities. This results in reduction of CO2-emissions and is beneficial for health.
Furthermore, the amount of parking areas and expenses are reduced.

Rural areas also benefit from intelligent transportation infrastructure as it enhances attractivenes and reduces migration into cities.
The research project inmod "Electric mobility in rural areas" combines pedelecs/e-Bikes and public transportation. In 2012, inmod already convinced the jury of the "E-Bike Award". From 5 to 9 March 2013, inmod will present its concept at the special exhibition "E-Bikes for smart cities" at CeBIT 2013.

Pedelec riding is simply unimaginable!
The ExtraEnergy Test IT Show is yet another highlight of the special exhibition. Pedelecs of the latest generation will be offered. Anyone can test ride for free.
More than 20 different brands of electric bikes will be part of the Test IT Show at the special exhibition "E-Bikes for Smart Cities". Including pedelecs of the brands Diamant, Giant, Flyer, Stromer, Pegasus and Bulls.
Above all, the Test IT Show profis will provide extensive information around e-mobility, e.g. advice on range, speed, comfort and safety as well as free copies of the Go Pedelec! Handbook.

EnergyBus - one plug for all
EnergyBus is an open standard for all electrical components of Light-Electric-Vehicles (LEVs).
There are many different types of light electric vehicles. EnergyBus works for all of them. And more: It is designed to exactly meet the specific requirements of e-bikes, pedelecs, Electric Scooters and other LEVs.
Development engineers, system integrators and interested visitors are warmly welcome to experience the EnergyBus standard (EBS) and the EnergyBus pilot project for standardised charging infrastructure of light electric vehicles (LEVs).
