Together with its sector parters, including The Children's Society and Still Human Still Here, Refugee Action is supporting Early Day Motion 99 and calling on the Government to make asylum support fair.

EDM 99, tabled by Teresa Pearce MP (Labour) with cross party support from Peter Bottomley MP (Conservative) and Sarah Teather MP (Liberal Democrat), asks the Government to raise asylum support rates to at least 70% of Income Support and to increase this in line with inflation annually.  It follows a landmark High Court judgment, brought about by Refugee Action, in which asylum support policy was ruled unlawful.

As part of Refugee Action's Bring Back Dignity campaign, the charity is encouraging its supporters to write to their MP and ask them to sign the EDM.  Supporters can also back the campaign by signing Refugee Action's petition.
