PARIS … Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton signed a total of $37.5 million in aerospace contracts in the first quarter of 2013 to provide broad-based aftermarket support for military fleets. Eaton manufactures products for virtually all military aircraft in operation around the world, including component retrofits and upgrades that improve the performance of in-service equipment. Components selected for in-service retrofits include hydraulic pumps that offer more than five times the reliability of currently installed systems.

"Eaton works with our military customers to provide aftermarket solutions that support operational readiness and improved aircraft availability and performance," said
Einar Johnson, vice president of customer solutions and services for Eaton’s Aerospace Group. "Eaton components are a great value for retrofits and upgrades because they help keep military fleets in service with higher levels of reliability and lower life-cycle costs."

Eaton's first-quarter military contracts cover an array of aerospace products for fuel and motion control, fluid and electrical distribution, and aerial refueling. Products were selected for several aircraft platforms, including CH-47 helicopters, KC-46A and KC-135 aerial refueling tankers, C-130 military transport aircraft, and F-35 and T-50 fighters.

In the aerospace industry, Eaton is a leading supplier of hydraulic, electro-hydraulic pump and generator products and integrated systems; engine and airframe fuel pumps; electric motors; aircraft door actuation, flight and flow controls; fluid, fuel and air delivery products and systems; nose wheel steering systems; integrated control systems; cockpit controls and displays; power and load management systems; pressure sensors, seals, and fluid health monitoring products and systems. Eaton serves commercial and military aviation, aerospace, military weapons, marine and off-road markets worldwide.
