An initiative by Round Table India and Ladies Circle India to donate prosthetic Limbs. An Annual project since 1981, this year 400 people benefited from this project.

Bangalore, March 18th 2013 (PressReleasePoint): Round Table India and Ladies Circle India organized ‘Help Someone Walk’, an initiative to donate prosthetic limbs. The motto behind the program was to donate to bring a change in someone’s life. Popular Kannada actor Sri Murali supported this cause by being a part of the donation programme held at Bhagwan Mahaveer Jain Hospital.

Round Table India and Ladies Circle India Started by donating one artificial limb and now have grown in strength by donating 200 limbs every year. The ‘artificial limb donation’ program is among the many community projects undertaken by Round table India and Ladies Circle India.  This year we have reached a successful number of 400 limbs.

The Limb Donation project is done in association with Karnataka Marwari Youth Federation. The Jaipur Limbs were demonstrated and many donees were fitted with the artificial limbs during the project itself. Every limb that gets donated as part of the project benefits a donee for a period of 3 years. The most common reason found for people loosing limbs was diabetes.

On the Occasion, Aditya Sanghi, Chairman, Round Table India said “By donating a limb we not only make an impact on the physical abilities of a person, it also increases the self confidence and self esteem. Through this initiative our main goal is to bridge the gap between low income amputees and quality prosthetic care necessary for a comfortable living”

Popular Kannada Actor Sri Murali said “It is indeed a pleasure to be a part of this unique initiative by Round Table India and Ladies Circle India. Each of us should take a step forward and do our best to make someone’s life better”

Maansi Sanghi, Chairperson, Ladies circle added “This is small effort from our side to make a difference to the lives of these people. We donate close to 200 limbs every year and we request more and more people to come forward and donate to make a difference to their lives”
