Elecworks 2011 is pushing the boundaries of 3D Electrical Design

Trace Software International announced today the release of elecworks 2011, the newest version of the electrical CAD SolidWorks-integrated software. With a focus on its 3D capabilities, this latest release provides automation engineers with great PLC design flexibility as well as precisely-defined visualization of cables and wires in automated 3D wiring.

St Romain, France – 24 June, 2011 — Elecworks’ new 3D capabilities present multiple advantages to automation professionals. 3D design enables faster design and production cycle. Precise wire length calculations enable pre-assembly wire processing in a streamlined production cycle. Users can visualize the space occupied in a panel or prevent component collision without resorting to a time-consuming and costly prototype. 3D wire views are realistic showing separate wires in a duct in the automatic 3D panel or machine wiring process.

This latest release of the innovation award winning elecworks 2011 offers users the following highlighted features:

-PLC management features automate the creation of PLCs with features to adapt cards to your needs.
-Dynamic PLC insertion with customizable selectable signals all with personalized descriptions.
-Automated selectable PLC macros per channel for easy full creation of all PLC I/O.
-Views for 3D automated wire routing are more realistic and show separate wires within duct for more precise wire length calculations.
-Connection label feature to easily represent and locate all connection information for a device in a single glance.
