Precious Microtech (PML), part of Precious Group, was formed in the year 1998, as an IT company. Precious Group has been primarily in the Gem & Jewelry business world-wide over 45 years and came out with an initiative of providing IT solutions to Gem & Jewelry Industry through PML. The reasons as to why ‘Gem & Jewelry Industry’ was thought of, is that this Industry was completely untapped by any IT vendor from India and Precious Group carried great expertise pertinent to this Industry.

The first initiative of PML was to focus on the design segment of Gem & Jewelry Industry as this segment was considered to be the heart of their business, for the simple reason that if the designs were not good, then it is difficult to sell. Also, the Industry was experiencing a trend in the global market that no designs get repeated over a period minimum of five years and hence the ‘demand’ for newer designs, were bloating. Thus we launched our first version of CAD solution called Precious Jewellery CAD.
