Deadlines are April 1 and August 1 respectively
JACKSON, Miss. – No foolin’…the deadline for nonprofit organizations to apply for an Entergy Mississippi, Inc. grant for 2014 is April 1.
“Entergy’s OPEN Grants Program and Micro Grants Program focus on improving communities as a whole,” said Valarie Mabry, Entergy Mississippi public affairs analyst. “We look for giving opportunities in the areas of arts and culture; community improvement and enrichment, the environment or healthy families.”
The amount and nature of an organization’s request will determine which type of grant (OPEN or micro) the organization would need to apply for.
If a grant request is education- or literacy-focused, or focused on low-income initiatives, the organization can apply for an Entergy Charitable Foundation grant. The Foundation’s deadline for accepting applications for its second 2014 grant cycle is August 1.
All grant applications, whether from Entergy Mississippi or the Entergy Charitable Foundation, must be made online. The guidelines and grant forms are available here.
