We’re watching the weather situation closely, as ice storms are very dynamic, and we’re preparing to get our crews in place so they can respond to any power outages just as quickly as it is safe to do so.” Entergy Mississippi is entering full storm mode, meaning employees are on alert to respond, a storm command center will begin operation over the weekend and managers have initiated a series of conference calls to discuss the threat and appropriate response, both of which will become clearer as the storm nears, then arrives. In addition, about 100 crews and 30 support workers will be headed to the northern part of the state on Sunday to help assist with any outages. These include Entergy employees and contractors, as well as vegetation workers. Customers in the affected areas should prepare, too.
