At Mobile World Congress 2010, Synchronica unveiled its most ambitious upgrade to Mobile Gateway ever. In addition to providing mass market push email and synchronization, Mobile Gateway 5 provided a complete next-generation mobile messaging suite, enabling mobile instant messaging (MIM), and social networking services (SNS), regardless of the type of handset.

Additionally, users were able to subscribe to thousands of online news and entertainment services with the new RSS web feed reader.

At Mobile World Congress 2011, Synchronica will announce its entry into unified messaging with a range of J2ME clients and XHTML mobile browsers that will provide a unified view across all email accounts, social networking accounts, and IM communities.

These integrated clients and browsers will link messaging accounts to address books, providing easy communication and identification of new messages.

In addition to the J2ME and XHTML clients, Synchronica will also add extra features to enhance the user experience while maintaining Mobile Gateway's device-neutral and platform-agnostic approach. Customers can look forward to support for an even greater amount of messaging back-ends, IM communities and social networking services.

Added to that, users of basic mobile phones will finally be able to stay in touch with their favorite IM community thanks to Mobile Gateway's support for IM to SMS or MMS. Users of data-enabled handsets will enjoy enhanced email attachment handling which reduces network bandwidth consumption by up to 90 percent.
