Enviro-Vac Celebrates 2012 Christmas, Makes Generous Donation to Help Rebuild Connor House in Abbotsford, BC

Enviro-Vac, a Canadian based Hazardous Materials Abatement Company, helped local police, fire and tradespeople rebuild the Connor's family home in Abbotsford after it was destroyed by fire in November 2012.

The Connors family in Abbotsford are a retired couple whose house was destroyed by fire earlier this year and no fire insurance so the local Police & Fire Dept. initiated a drive to try and put contractors together to rebuild the house. A substantial amount of asbestos containing material was found in the buildings original materials and needed to be removed prior to rebuild.  Enviro-Vac was asked to help. We agreed and donated our services at a substantial cost. There were dozens of Trades involved all donating time and materials to rebuild the Connors house.   Local police and firefighters rotated shifts to help the tradespeople strip down the burnt home.  “There’s no words to express the gratitude we have and the appreciation for this coming together because without our community and the neighbouring communities we wouldn’t have been able to get this done,” Abbotsford Police Sgt. Judy Dizzy said. “This is the meaning of Christmas.”

The reveal of the Connors new and improved home in time for Christmas was well received, they were pretty much speechless! There was a huge turnout from all the involved companies and the fire and police departments that spearheaded the project.  “I think it’s great,” John said after the crowd dissipated. “It’s good to be back home. I don’t think a person could get a better Christmas.”
