Demand grows for technology management products that support dynamic learning environments

Austin, TX, Feb 3, 2014, (Booth 717)

Ergotron, Inc., a Nortek company, will showcase a full suite of education-specific mounting, mobility and device management solutions at TCEA. As more schools bring tablets, e-readers and laptops into the classroom,  they face new technology dilemmas, like keeping devices charged and fully functional on a daily basis and across an entire school campus - classrooms, learning labs, libraries and administration offices. Ergotron’s broad portfolio of products, including technology-enabled classroom carts, sit-stand computer workstations, and charging carts and cabinets, are an essential part of supporting technology in learning environments.

Ergotron delivers configurable, adjustable solutions for every learning environment, from pre-K to university, helping to ensure technology enhances the connection between students, teachers and colleagues while providing faster and easier access to applications and real-time information,” said Sheila Veschusio, Education Industry Manager at Ergotron. “Our approach has always been to make products that keep the comfort, convenience, and ease of functionality for teachers and students top of mind.”

Ergotron will feature technology support solutions including:

  • Tablet Charging Carts for Apple®, Android™, Chromebook™ and Windows®-based tablets, for the ability to secure, charge and sync up to 48 devices in a compact form with smooth gliding casters for easy transport.
  • The Tablet Management Station 16, a space saving tower offering schools an affordable means to sync and charge up to 16 devices. The station features universal compatibility for Apple, Android and e-reader devices using wired USB connections.
  • The Teachwell® Mobile Digital Workspace, a height-adjustable sit-stand unit customized to easily present, work and collaborate. The Teachwell can be moved to wherever staff, teachers or students are assembled and consolidates all essential technology tools on one small platform.
  • The WorkFit-A and WorkFit-P workstations for Apple, height-adjustable computer sit-stand workstations. As computers become increasingly central in classrooms, sit-stand desk solutions are making inroads to help students stay focused and healthy as well as foster a more dynamic learning environment. Specifically designed to complement Apple desktop and laptop products.
  • The LX Desk and Wall Mount Arms to effortlessly position an LCD and keyboard for the most comfort and productivity while seated or standing, with 360 degree monitor pan for sharing content and portrait to landscape viewing, the LX arms are great for shared use by students and teachers of all heights.
  • The Neo-Flex touchscreen stand for hefty displays or all-in-one computers, offering 115 degrees of tilt adjustment while simultaneously controlling monitor height. The flexibility allows the screen to be moved parallel with the desktop- perfect for touchscreen applications.

Ergotron’s portfolio is designed to help schools effectively manage computer and device deployments on every level: student, teacher and IT. Ergotron’s support solutions create environments that maximize the technology integration and minimize technology-related hassles like security, charging, syncing and sharing.
