Etisalat’s Ayaadi Foundation participates in Sharjah Book Fair, announces 120 new volunteers

Ayaadi Foundation’s participation in Sharjah Book Fair was greatly welcomed by the fair’s visitors. The foundation participated to introduce its objectives regarding its social responsibility and volunteer work, in addition to its concern about intellectual development.

Omar Al Huraiz, Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Ayaadi, expressed his appreciation to the positive interaction and wide response to Ayaadi’s participation in the fair. He announced that 120 new volunteers have joined in, increasing the total number of volunteers to 320.

 

Ayaadi’s participation in the fair was aimed to introduce the foundation’s objectives and its activities, and to seek opportunities for collaboration with other participants. Furthermore, it aimed to introduce the “Ayaadi Volunteers” program to general public. The program encourages young people to participate in social programs where they can contribute as per their expertise in order to benefit the Emirati Society.

 

Al Huraiz confirmed that Ayaadi Foundation is a national community project that is aimed to achieve sustainable development for the UAE society by pooling in resources through contributions and participation. It adopts technology and technical know-how to serve the UAE’s education sector in particular and other sectors in general. The foundation focuses on and encourages voluntary work as it is considered an integral part of the Emirati culture. He added that in future, young volunteers can actively contribute in various sectors supported by the foundation. These include health, environment and socio-economic development sectors.

 

Ayaadi is a major initiative by Etisalat that has been established by to streamline the corporation’s social responsibility efforts. In order to maximize benefits to the Emirati society, it aims to set objectives and define principles that govern Etisalat’s community care programs.
