The Strategic Brand Leadership Award is the most prestigious award an individual can receive at the World Brand Congress.

November 23, 2010: Eugene Kaspersky, Co-Founder & CEO, Kaspersky Lab has been honored with the STRATEGIC BRAND LEADERSHIP AWARD at the 19th World Brand Congress held at Hotel Taj Lands End, Mumbai on November 23, 2010. The Strategic Brand Leadership Award is the most prestigious award an individual can receive at the World Brand Congress.
Roger Wilson, Vice President - Marketing, Kaspersky Lab, Moscow was present at the World Brand Congress to receive the award on behalf of Eugene Kaspersky. “It is a great honor that recognizes our successful efforts in building a Russian brand into one of the great Global Brands,” said Wilson.
“This award is a significant achievement for South Asia, particularly India. From a global perspective, India is relatively new but very important market for us, and we see tremendous potential of our brand,” said Harry Cheung, Kaspersky Lab Asia-Pacific Managing Director.
Jagannath Patnaik, Director - Kaspersky Lab India added that Eugene Kaspersky being awarded in India is a big honor for Kaspersky Lab India team and this will add to the image of the already strong Kaspersky brand in India. “It is a very big achievement for us in India and it will help us further consolidate Kaspersky Lab market position in the country,” he said.

The World Brand Congress is represented by 60 countries from across the world. The Congress is governed by an Advisory Council that guides the strategic intent of the event & leads it to its success. There were around 600 participants from different countries (200 International + 300 Participants from India) and about 100 invited Guests, Speakers, Dignitaries and Award Winners. The World Brand Congress is strategically partnered by CMO Council USA (www.cmocouncil.org) and CMO Asia (www.cmoasia.org). The Global Awards for Brand Excellence aims to recognize the best brains behind the most sought out global brands.
