A glance into the next decade: responding to changing consumer behaviour in Russian FMCG markets
Euromonitor International will be running the third exclusive free seminar for the market players of food, beverages, retailing, packaging and other FMCG industries to be held on 22nd April in Moscow, Russia.
According to Euromonitor International, the global economic crisis that began with the sub-prime mortgage crisis in August 2007 led the world economy to its worst recession in over 60 years and has affected countries and consumers around the world. It resulted in low levels of consumer confidence, decreases in private consumption and a rise in unemployment. The recession has made consumers more cautious.
Russia's economy experienced a sharp recession in 2009 as well. Unemployment is going to rise further in 2010 and annual disposable income per capita is not expected to return to 2008 levels for some years. However, the economy appears to be recovering much more quickly than anticipated. While most industries faced falling demand, some industries emerged as winners in this global slowdown.
Join us to learn about current and future consumer trends and discuss how the changing economic situation will affect FMCG market developments in the next decade.
