Publisher optimizes business processes with Exact e-Synergy

Delft, June 27, 2006 – Exact Holding N.V. (Exact) and PCM Uitgevers (PCM) have signed a contract to optimize the internal business processes of PCM. Some 3,900 e

mployees will be structuring their daily work with Exact Software’s web-based information system Exact e-Synergy.

Initially, Exact e-Synergy will be deployed at PCM Uitgevers to optimize the primary administrative processes in the field of Human Resource Management (HRM). Some 3,600 staff members will be given access to an Employee Self-Service Portal, where they can access and process general and personal information in the field of Human Resource Management – such as salaries, holidays and reporting in sick.

A Management Self-Service Portal will be set up for the management, where there will be functions for authorizations, analyses and reports. Finally, PCM Uitgevers uses Exact e-Synergy for digital staff files, reports and as a medium for internal information provision. In the second phase, the company will start using functionalities for skills management and training.

PCM Uitgevers uses Exact e-Synergy in combination with a back-office system from Logica CMG. The financial and salary data stored in it will be made accessible for the whole organization with Exacte-Synergy via a secure Internet connection. Getronics PinkRoccade will be hosting the information system.
