ExactTarget Launches Comprehensive Certification for Interactive Marketers, Developers

ExactTarget Academy to Provide Marketers, Developers, Technology Partners Single Source for Education, Certification in Marketing Expertise
INDIANAPOLIS (Aug 18, 2010)– ExactTarget, a global provider of interactive marketing and email marketing solutions, launched ExactTarget Academy today, providing marketers, software developers and technology partners a comprehensive resource for education and professional certification.
ExactTarget Academy, which includes both onsite and online training and certification programs, will offer curriculum to help marketers increase proficiency and drive greater business results with the ExactTarget application, optimize campaigns, increase developer proficiencies and enhance technology partners’ abilities to deploy and support solutions integrated with ExactTarget.
“ExactTarget Academy was founded to provide customers and partners a single source to learn best practices, certify expertise and provide powerful insights that can be immediately applied,” said Scott Thomas, director of product enablement, ExactTarget. “In an ever-evolving interactive marketing landscape, the ExactTarget Academy will provide marketers a valuable resource.”
Coursework will range from day-long workshops to multi-part, in-depth educational series that culminate with testing and conferring of professional certifications in product expertise, interactive marketing, developer proficiencies and partner-specific skills.
ExactTarget will offer the first certification class Monday, Sept. 13 as part of Connections 2010, ExactTarget’s annual user conference. More than 2,000 marketers are expected to attend Connections 2010 in Indianapolis Sept. 14–16, featuring keynote presentations by Sir Richard Branson and Twitter Chief Operating Officer Dick Costolo.
