Exar Extends Distribution in Russia

Adds Gamma as First Local Representative in Dynamic Region

Fremont, California, July 1, 2009 – Exar Corporation (Nasdaq: EXAR) announced the addition of Gamma, a Russian-based semiconductor distributor and representative, to extend its sales and distribution coverage into Russia.  

“Gamma is a well respected established, broad-line distributor in Russia, with developed customer engagements in the communications and industrial automation segments that are complementary for Exar,” said Paul Stafford, director of distribution sales, Exar.  “We were looking for a partner that could offer a focus on local demand creation backed by strong logistics capability for us, which Gamma does very well.”
