Explore How You Can Make a Difference at CSU Sustainability Day on Wednesday, October 21
Cleveland State University will present a full day of free activities, including a lecture by an expert on climate change and a nighttime rooftop party , as part of Sustainability Day on Wednesday, October 21 on the CSU campus. All events are open to the public as part of National Sustainability Day, celebrated on college campuses nationwide.
Sustainability Day celebrates sustainability in higher education, and provides a look at how CSU is leading the way in sustainable practices. Sustainability Day provides information about best practices, critical global issues, and the exchange of ideas and knowledge among faculty, staff, and students from across all departments and disciplines, including the campus "edge" between town and gown.
The event is an engaging, exciting way to learn more about what Cleveland State, the city of Cleveland, and sustainability leaders are doing to improve tomorrows world today.
In addition, the Career Services Center will present GoGreen Careers Roundtable: Environmental Jobs for Scientist, Engineers and Policy Managers on Tuesday, October 20 from noon to 2 p.m. in the Fenn College of Engineering Foxes Den lounge. Pizza provided.
Employers, faculty, staff and students from throughout Ohio will discuss the green economy, career opportunities, co-ops and internships and academic preparation.
CSU Green Fair

Science/Research Plaza (Rain Location: Main Classroom Atrium)
Learn first-hand about green initiatives at CSU, in the business community and throughout the nation. Meet local businesses and organizations, pick up great swag and information about green topics such as transportation, food, buildings and the environment. Hear student performers and win great prizes, including a back pack and new bicycle. Organizations that wish to take part may register online at www.csuohio.edu/studentlife/sustain.
Climate Change Where are We Today?
Alvidas Jasin from The Climate Change Project

Popular speaker and local businessman Alvidas Jasin is a member of The Climate Change Project, a select group of "global warming messengers" who are authorized to give a live version of Al Gores Oscar- and Nobel-Prize-winning documentary, "An Inconvenient Truth." Alvidas has already given nearly 100 of these presentations to audiences across the country.
Rooftop Garden Party
Wednesday, October 21
7-10 p.m.
Recreation Center Green Roof
Live Music, giveaways and food! Celebrate a green lifestyle with CSU students on the 7,000 sq. ft. green rooftop garden on a starry night overlooking the Cleveland skyline.
