Gstarsoft released GstarCAD2012 Extended Version; a lot of practical tools were added into the Extended version, Align Tool is one of them.

(PressReleasePoint) In the past few days, Gstarsoft released GstarCAD2012 Extended Version; a lot of practical tools were added into the Extended version, Align Tool is one of them. If the drawing was not located precisely, the Align Tool is the best choice for the entities alignment.

Simplicity, practical and fast are the features of Align Tool, the tool can align all kinds of entities in CAD drawings, such as: rectangle, circle, line, spline, arc, pline, block and even 3D model object along X or Y axis coordinates, avoiding perform select and move commands. This tool has different alignment methods, includes offset option for each axis and can be combined as well.

1. Alignment Methods

First, explore and explain the align options within align tool window:
There are several options in this Align Tool window. All the options are design-intent to align objects X and Y axis as a reference. This tool can work even if only 1 or more objects. The follow samples below show how flexible and easy is this tool working with several objects.

Left object X axis Align allows align the selected object(s) at left side according to the X axis and takes the first left object (number 1) as alignment reference.
Center object X axis Align allows align the selected object(s) at central side according to the X axis and takes the center or middle object (number 2) as alignment reference.
Besides these two alignment methods, there is a right object X axis Align. As the Y axis alignment is all the same with X axis alignment, it also has 3 alignment methods: Top object Y axis Align, Center object Y axis Align and Bottom object Y axis Align.

2. Alignment Position

Specified object: This allows align the selected object(s) to a specific object or any end point of it, after select any X or Y axis alignment option.
Specified point: This allows align the selected object(s) to a specific point of the second selected object, after select any X or Y axis alignment option.
Selection boundary: This option is by default when designers select any X or Y alignment option. When they select any X or Y alignment option, the selected objects will move in a boundary pattern but the boundary cannot be seen.
3. Offset
According to X axis and Y axis, there are two kinds of offsets, this allows to offset object(s) after select any X axis or Y axis alignment option. For example, if it performs Left object X axis align and then input offset value (60), the selected object(s) will be offset right side. See the pictures below:
It has been proven that the Align Tool of GstarCAD2012 Extended Version can save much time and improve the efficiency of designing greatly. So this kind of tool will be helpful for designers.
