FactSet, a leading provider of integrated financial information and analytical applications to global investment professionals, has been named one of the 2014 FORTUNE 100 Best Companies to Work For®, ranking 50 among the overall 100 companies. The list, now in its 17th year, recognizes companies that have exceptional workplace cultures. This is FactSet’s sixth year on the list.

Companies opt to participate in the selection process, which includes an extensive employee survey and an in-depth questionnaire about their programs and company practices. Great Place to Work® then evaluates each application using its unique methodology based on five dimensions: credibility, respect, fairness, pride and camaraderie. Employees’ trust in the workplace is typically seen as a leading factor in determining what makes a great place to work.

“When I’m asked about the best aspects of working at FactSet, I always say that our people are what make our business so strong,” said FactSet CEO Philip A. Hadley.  “FactSetters are hard-working and dedicated to our company goals. I believe that’s what creates our distinct culture of trust and collaboration.”

In addition to providing a positive environment for employees, FactSet is specifically recognized for its learning and development program, which provides incentives and rewards for employees who study for and pass the CFA exams. Additionally, FactSet’s comprehensive benefits package, available at minimal or no cost to employees, offers gym discounts, preventive care incentives, and free in-office services like massages and nutrition consultations.

“The FORTUNE 100 Best Companies to Work For list grows more competitive every year and this list represents the best of the best,” said China Gorman, Global Chief Executive Officer of Great Place to Work. “While each company is unique, what they have in common are strong cultures that support positive workplaces.”
