Families Could Be Saving Over A Third On Their Energy Bills
A recent study of A Shade Greener solar customers has found that on average they save over a third on their energy bills.
Tankersley, Sheffield, United Kingdom., February 6, 2012 - (PressReleasePoint) - A recent study from the A Shade Greener Group has shown that a typical family in the UK could be saving on average of more than a third on their energy bills. The study, based on actual householders' energy usage after having solar installed, has shown that electricity bills were on average reduced by 37%.
Although A Shade Greener study was based on the free solar panel systems that they have installed on over 6,000 homes, the figures should also hold true for paid systems.
The report stated:
"People on average saved a third on their electricity bills, however those who made a concerted effort to use the free electricity tended to enjoy even more savings, some as high as 60%"
Stewart Davies, Managing Director explained why the study was carried out:
"As the solar industry is still relatively new in the UK, there is scant information around about just how effective a solar panel system can be in reducing energy consumption. There was a lot of supposition but no hard evidence. We were in a privileged position in that we had, literally, thousands of customers who'd had our systems for over 12 months so we decided to do our own survey. I’m delighted that our free solar electric systems have ensured that our customers have enjoyed such substantial savings, particularly in these hard times."
Yorkshire based installer A Shade Greener have provided over 6,000 free solar panel systems to homeowners in the UK over the last 2 years. Homeowners wishing to apply for their own free system can do so through their website at http://ashadegreener.co.uk/apply-now/
The company was the first to offer free solar to the British public and is the largest free installer in the UK with over 600 employees.
Stewart added:
"We have thousands of systems available to install on homes that are suitable. Our free systems require absolutely no investment from the homeowner and as it only takes us about 4 hours to fit the panels so the customer can start benefiting from free electricity from day one. Furthermore, the value of the free electricity that our panels produce will increase as electricity prices continue to soar over the coming years"
