From the first semester of 2015, undergraduate and graduate students of Fundação Getulio Vargas in Rio de Janeiro will have the opportunity to take masters and PhD courses from the Military Institute of Engineering (IME) at no additional cost, in areas of Transportation (Planning and Operation), Computer Science, Cartography and Defense. Therefore, FGV promotes, on August 21, a lecture that will address the opportunities arising from this partnership.
The agreement also provides internships for students in the Foundation's administrative and computer offices of IME, and integration into common projects of junior companies and coordinated participation in sports and academic competitions.
"FGV and IME are institutions which complement each other in many ways - FGV is especially linked to teaching and research in management, Social Sciences, in addition to Applied Mathematics, and the IME to teaching and research of the technological field. The partnership aims to take advantage of this complementarity, creating courses and projects that combine both aspects, with the participation of both institutions," said the director of Business Studies, Antonio Carlos Pôrto Gonçalves.
The lecture will be attended by professors of IME and held at 2:30 pm in FGV's main offices, at Praia de Botafogo, 190, room 1013 - Rio de Janeiro. The event is free, with a limited number of seats available.
