A Professor at the Brazilian School of Public and Business Administration (FGV/EBAPE), Eduardo Andrade, was invited to become associate editor of the Journal of Consumer Research (JCR) - one of the four major international journals in the field of Marketing. It is the first time a professor of a Brazilian university takes over this task.
His function is to become a bridge between the reviewers of articles and one of the four head editors of the newspaper. "The associate editors are the ones who read the articles and the opinions of three reviewers, and then make suggestions on the direction the article should take to the chief editor. The work is hard, but rewarding," said Eduardo, who considers the job a unique opportunity. He will remain in the position until 2017.
The Journal of Consumer Research receives around 800 applications each year, and accepts around 10 to 15% of them. Founded 40 years ago, is the oldest and most prestigious journal in the field of Consumer Behavior.
