Not only is the venue hire business getting busier and more energetic as The Olympics approach, but the catering services offered by London's caterers at these venues are getting more creative and dynamic for the Olympic season too.

London, 9th August 2011, Not only is the venue hire business getting busier and more energetic as The Olympics approach, but the catering services offered by London's caterers at these venues are getting more creative and dynamic for the Olympic season too.

All the corporate big hitters are striving to be their event-led best for the Olympic period, using the most beautiful party venues, as well as the catering services of companies like "rhubarb" to create fabulously creative food offerings for their most important and influential clients. We are busier than ever planning the very best canapé receptions, stadium side food stalls and marquee based sushi bars, and of course brand new concepts for our cocktail bars and bowl food offerings too.

Our spring summer bowl food catering services are going down a storm in all our venues too - with light and delicious flavours. Look out for our bowls of bright panzanella and carousels of delicious fresh seafood, classic English mini fish and chips, or how about a more Asian theme to your catering services, with salt and pepper squid in Asian newspaper cones?

Of course all the big venues in London and slightly further afield are getting more and more booked up as the Olympic period gets ever closer. And if you are planning a wedding this time next year, make sure it isn't in London is our advice! Wedding venues will be difficult to get hold of when almost every venue in London and indeed the home counties (Buckinghamshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Kent and Surrey) will be busy with Olympic related events.

At "rhubarb" we have already planned our Olympic menus at our Gallery Mess restaurant at The Saatchi Gallery in Chelsea South West London, at Bond & Brook in Fenwick's Bond Street store in Central London, and at our London Heathrow Terminal Three restaurant too.

For Central London venues – venue hire is really hotting up to it's most competitive levels ever. Some of our favourite London venues such as The Natural History Museum in Kensington, The Victoria & Albert Museum in Knightsbridge, Banqueting House in Westminster, The Guildhall near Bank, Two Temple near Victoria Embankment, The National Gallery in Trafalgar Square and The Royal Hospital in Chelsea, are all fully booked and have very long waiting lists too. If you need to hire a venue this time next year, our advice is to get on the case now – and call us if you need help!
