The Sapienza Department of Art History and Entertaining Arts in collaboration with the Fondazione Roma Sapienza is pleased to present the first edition of the Sapienza Short Film Fest.
The Sapienza Short Film Fest is a competition for students in both public and private universities and academies that aims to provide greater visibility to young film-makers and video-makers. The competition includes two categories:
Fiction – short features, web series, mockumentaries, animation
Remix – video essay, re-cut trailers, sweded trailers, mash ups
And two awards:
People’s Award – selected short features will be uploaded to Sapienza and competition social channels where the public will be able to vote them with “likes.”
Jury’s Award – a jury composed of critics, movie professionals, university professors and academics will select a winner for each of the two competition categories.
The Jury Award comes with a monetary prize, while a plaque will be presented to the winner of the Public Award.
All audiovisual projects must be submitted by Tuesday, December 27, 2016 (3:00 pm).
All submissions will be subject to a pre-selection phase by a scientific committee.
The awards ceremony will be held in the sping and the winning movies will be projected at Sapienza University. Sapienza Short Film Fest is promoted with the support of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Tourism and in partnership with Columbia College, a prestigious film school in Hollywood.
