NEW YORK, 30 April 2010 — Ford Foundation President Luis Ubiñas spoke today about the significant challenges facing public media in the United States today in recorded remarks delivered to amedia workshophosted by theFederal Communications Commissionin Washington. The workshop, titled "Public and other Noncommercial Media in the Digital Era," brought together a broad range of media professionals, academics, regulators and members of the public to consider the future of the public media sector, which the foundation has long supported.
