We are pleased to announce that IHC Merwede, one of our founding members, has been awarded the honorary title ‘Royal'. The royal seal of approval was recently bestowed upon them by His Majesty King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands. In a special ceremony, at the National Dredging Museum, the Mayor of Sliedrecht, Mr van Hemmen, presented the accolade to IHC Merwede's CEO, Bram Roelse.

The Royal title is an award granted only to prestigious companies and organisations that meet certain criteria. CEDA president extended congratulations on the award, on behalf of the Secretariat and members, in a short letter.

For further insights into the IHC Merwede, and the people and initiatives that have made it worthy of royal distinction, visit one of the two expositions currently running on the company. The exhibition at the National Dredging Museum in Sliedrecht will run until 23 November this year and there is an exposition about the company in the Maritime Museum Rotterdam.
