Corporate trainers, HR managers, educators and the community are invited to attend a series of free presentations aimed at showcasing the important connection between learning and achieving organizational results scheduled for Thursday, December 8, 2011, at Harrisburg University of Science and Technology.
Set to coincide with national Employee Learning Week, the series of free presentations will highlight new approaches for organizational learning as well as up-and-coming technologies and techniques that will shape corporate training.
Rick Stamm and Susan Stamm of TEAM Approach and the Central Pennsylvania Chapter of the American Society for Training & Development will kick-off the December 8 event at 3:45 p.m. with a free presentation,Transfer of Learning: Who is Responsible?at 3:45 p.m. in the 14thFloor auditorium. The interactive event will include some hands-on activities for the audience.
Immediately following the presentation, the audience is invited to watch Learning Technologies Master of Science students showcase research and techniques that may shape classroom education and corporate training in the future. The experiential projects represent the culmination of the graduate students’ work in the LTMS program and this is an opportunity for the community to witness the impact learning technologies can have on classroom education and corporate training.
The event provides the community with an opportunity to learn about the University’s Learning Technologies Master of Science (LTMS) program—the only graduate level program of its kind in the region. The LTMS program is a part-time or full-time 36 semester hour program that provides students with leading edge approaches and skills to help them apply existing and emerging learning technologies in a variety of learning environments.
