In conjunction with City & Guilds, the Association of Plumbing & Heating Contractors have announced a second set of technical and employer focused updates, following the success of four regional updates held earlier this year in March.

Commenting on the series of updates, APHC’s Technical Services Manager Graeme Dryden said: “APHC are delighted to once again be working in partnership with City & Guilds to deliver four free regional seminars this September at boiler manufacturer training centres across the UK.

“The seminars are free to attend and are open to all professional heating and plumbing businesses including non APHC members.”

The seminars will cover Water Hygiene and Legionella as well as the re-development of Apprenticeships. There will be opportunity to discuss the changes to apprenticeships and your views will go back to the Plumbing and Heating sector Trailblazer Group, responsible for plumbing and heating apprenticeships.

The seminars will run at the following dates and venues:

    •  15 September Vokèra Head Office in St Albans
    •  18 September Worcester Bosch Wakefield Training Academy
    •  24 September Worcester Bosch Worcester Training Academy
    •  25 September Newport Coleg Gwent in association with Baxi

Graeme Dryden will be leading the seminars and will be accompanied by  members of the plumbing qualification team at City & Guilds.  Graeme Dryden  concluded:

“Whilst a group of employers are leading the development work on Apprenticeship Reform, it is vital that all employers are given an opportunity to provide input and this is an ideal chance for employers within the plumbing and heating industry to have a say”.

You can book a free place by phoning APHC on 0121 711 5030 or by sending an email to suzanne.hunt@aphc.co.uk. Places are limited and APHC have advised that early booking is advisable.
