The 408-room Mövenpick Hotel Amsterdam City Center now offers its guests the possibility to conduct Web conferences free of charge. This new service is the result of an exclusive partnership with Netviewer AG, the leading European provider of Web collaboration solutions.

Web conferencing makes it possible for business travelers to conduct meetings via the Internet. With a live view of their partner’s screen, they can jointly discuss and edit text files, spreadsheets, graphics and other documents. Thus, they can work with multiple participants in different locations while on the road – for instance to update a presentation with colleagues at home or to stay in touch with customers in different cities.

The utilization of Web technologies contributes to cost savings even while traveling. In order to enable its guests to collaborate and meet online while reducing costs on their travels, Mövenpick chose to implement Netviewer’s services. All computers in the business centers of Mövenpick Hotel Amsterdam City Center are hence equipped with webcams, headsets and Netviewer’s collaboration software Netviewer Meet. Hotel guests can use these amenities free of charge.

Multiple meetings, which would have required physical presence or lengthy long distance calls to the office at home, can now be taken online. This increases productivity, saves time and costs.
