B&R recently expanded its successful ACOPOS series with the addition of a frequency inverter: the ACOPOSinverter. This fills a gap in the B&R drive technology product line, and enables B&R to provide its customers something important that they have been requesting for some time.

Together with the existing servo and stepper motors, the new ACOPOSinverter frequency inverters round off the drive series.

As a supplier of complete solutions for control, visualization and drive technology, B&R is now able with this product expansion to strengthen its position on the market and offer its customers optimum integrated automation solutions. "The main benefit of the addition is for existing B&R customers. The seamless integration into existing machine topologies via the serial, X2X or POWERLINK interface reduces cabling and makes the otherwise tedious software integration of 3rd party components obsolete," explains Bernhard Eder, Business Manager at B&R. The complete integration of the entire frequency inverter product palette into Automation Studio further simplifies and accelerates the commissioning of the machine or system.

The ACOPOSinverter product series consists of three models: the ACOPOSinverter S44, X64 and P84. This allows B&R to cover a power range from 0.18 to 500 kW and thereby satisfy all the requirements of a machine manufacturer. The areas of use range from pump and conveyor belt control to complex applications in combination with servo drives.
