The Penn State Berks Freyberger Gallery will present the exhibition "Artist and Artist" by photographer Jen Lindsay and painter Matt Mazurkiewicz, from April 3–24. There will be an opening reception at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 3. This event is free and open to the public, and light refreshments will be served.

This exhibit explores the work of street photographer Jen Lindsay and painter Matthew Mazurkiewicz. Lindsay’s photographs are inspired by small town America and the timeless era of rural landscapes and rustic structures. Through photography, she documents her life, her family and her community.

Meanwhile, Mazurkiewicz’s recent body of work highlights both his process and his command of media. From quirky animals to landscapes, his bold work explores his sense of humor and exemplifies his successful command of the brush.

Lindsay will offer a workshop at 1 p.m. Friday, April 18. She will provide helpful information and hints on taking great photographs with a smartphone.

The Freyberger Gallery is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday; 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday; and 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. For more information, contact Marilyn Fox, gallery director, at 610-396-6140 or via e-mail at mjf14@psu.edu.
