One of 57 Awardees Worldwide Under Project in the Business Productivity Category
TOKYO, February26, 2014 — Shiro Saito, Tokyo Region Sales of Fuji Xerox Co., Ltd., has won a Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) Award, which Microsoft Corporation awards to exceptional leaders in the technical community. Saito has won this award for four consecutive years and became one of this year's 57 awardees in the category, of which five are from Japan.
Saito works as a business consultant with special expertise in enterprise project management using Microsoft's software, Project. Microsoft Project is a project management software program that allows making plans and tracking of budget status based on globally-accepted standard techniques, to manage single or multiple projects centrally on a PC or server. He has been engaged in large-scale, complicated project management as well as in activities to propose solutions with high added value to support clients' growth strategy.
Saito participated in the 2013 MVP Global Summit in February and November of 2013, hosted by Microsoft and held in Redmond, Washington, the United States. There were 1,400 attendees from 70 countries worldwide, and he actively engaged in technical and cultural exchanges with MVPs from other countries.
At the MVP Showcase held for the first time at that summit, Saito presented the outcome of a volunteer project which he took part with other MVPs and interested personnel. Additionally, in Japan, he continuously shared his activities through study groups, mailing lists and social media about his technical support as a volunteer at the World Economic Forum Japan Meeting in June 2013 and in a disaster reconstruction aid project for the Great East Japan Earthquake.
Saito has won the MVP Award four years in a row as Microsoft highly evaluated these activities and his continuous leading role in the Project technical community.
