Six exciting businesses that have been supported by Business Gateway and Entrepreneurial Spark have been recognised at the ‘Hatchery Hits the Street’ event and picked up £17,000 to help support their continued development.
The ‘Hits the Street’ event is aimed at bringing together and celebrating young global businesses showcasing the best entrepreneurial talent from across Entrepreneurial Spark’s three entrepreneurial hubs. Over £70k was given out throughout the evening to deserving start up’s, as spot prizes, for pitching competitions.
ALCAM Engineering, a precision engineering company from Ayrshire received £2,000 while Flexiworkforce, a new jobs’ website from Lanarkshire received £5,000. Edinburgh & Lothian based Nutrifiz, suppliers of the world’s first effervescent wheatgrass tablet, and Glam Candy, a hair and make-up school were awarded £3,000 and £2,000 respectively. And making up the successful six were Fife based Fisheries Enhance, specialist advisers to the marine and fishery industries, which picked up £2,000 and Silverbirch Interiors from Glasgow which designs and fits kitchens, bedrooms and home study areas which received £3,000.
In total there were seventeen Business Gateway supported businesses at the event, all of which are ambitious to grow their blossoming enterprises.
