Future Lighting Solutions and Helius Illumination Collaborate on Updating Warehouse Lighting System

Future Lighting Solutions and Helius Illumination recently completed a major project replacing HID lighting systems with LED lighting technology, for Future Electronics’ flagship distribution center in North America. The 250,000 square foot state-of-the-art distribution center features over 321,000 storage locations serviced by an automated crane-to-crane picking system.

To address the variable lighting parameters required in different areas of the facility, Future Lighting Solutions worked with Helius Illumination in developing custom beam angle reflectors to ensure optimized lighting efficiency throughout the building.

Led by Helius Illumination’s project design team, Future Lighting Solutions’ technical experts provided guidance regarding LUXEON^® Rebel LED selection, as well as optical and thermal considerations. Their exclusive online tools, including ULT, QLED and SSL Designer facilitated the design process, resulting in the XL.5 Series product, a state-of-the-art solution providing extraordinary performance.
 
The installation was completed using 290 Helius XL.5 Series LED warehouse fixtures, which increased average illumination levels by 20% while also reducing power consumption by more than 50%.
