Gartner Increases Direct Investment in Turkey

Gartner, Inc. (NYSE: IT), the leading provider of research and analysis on the global information technology industry, today announced that it has increased its presence in Turkey by transitioning to a direct sales channel.

As part of the company’s business expansion strategy for the region, Gartner will now provide dedicated client management and business development functions.

Establishing a direct sales organization is designed to enhance personalized service to Gartner’s growing client base in Turkey, and is in line with the Company’s international strategy to expand its operations in high growth regions.

“The appointment of a dedicated direct operation in Turkey is an important milestone in Gartner’s history in the country,” said David Hunter, group vice president of sales, Gartner. “In Turkey, the time is right to expand and grow our business. Building on our existing client relationships, we can now direct additional investments into the local office and recruit additional client-facing personnel.”

“Gartner clients in Turkey will benefit from our increased investment in the region as well as from our integrated sales and delivery approach,” said Mr. Hunter.

According to Gartner, IT spending by enterprises in Turkey is expected to reach US$11.4 billion in 2013 and expected to grow to US$12.5 billion by 2017
