Gateway Asia has introduced a hotel search on its online shop, Gateway2Travel, that incorporates a Google map.

Travel agents who already use the Gateway module can already find this additional feature as it is automatically updated to the portal. Map search allows travel agents to help their clients to find a hotel near a preferred location. Hotels in the selected area displayed on the map with a price range colour bar.

When the agent clicks on the colour bar, it displays the name of the hotel with photo, type of room and price, a brief introduction and star rating. There is also a link to more details. Maps show street names, landmarks and attractions.

Apart from the map search, travel agents can also search by city, name of the hotel, price range and star rating.

Smart search is another option that allows travel agents to source hotels near specific location such as exhibition centres, museums, monuments, sky train, shopping centres and railway stations and filter hotels by distance from the specified location.
