gematik Certifies ICW Hospital Connector

gematik already approved the ICW Box back in June 2007 as one of the first connectors. The latest ICW connector solution approved by gematik can now also be applied in hospitals or hospital associations. The connector can be used on the most varied, already existing hardware platforms without major adaptations and scaled almost at wish.

Ready for the eHealth Infrastructure
ICW's Hospital Connector ensures the safe and high-performance connection of already available hospital information systems to the future eHealth infrastructure of the Electronic Health Card. It will be installed in hospitals where it controls the information flow between the connected card terminals, the existing hospital information systems and the eHealth infrastructure.

ICW's Hospital Connector is geared towards the special requirements of hospitals and meets the current specifications of gematik. It allows authorized physicians, nursing staff and administration employees to access insurant data as well as read and write electronic prescriptions and emergency data. For this purpose, the Connector supports the mutual identification of the Electronic Health Card (eHC), the Health Professional Card (HPC) and institution cards (SMC-B). ICW's Hospital Connector is highly scalable to meet increasing performance requirements of hospitals at any time.
