Florham Park, N.J. - December 16, 2008-- Global Crossing (NASDAQ: GLBC), a leading global IP solutions provider, today announced it has extended its Managed Network Services portfolio of offers to clients in its carrier segment in response to growing demand from their end-user customers for fully managed Wide Area Network services.

"Increasingly, our carrier customers are looking for a service provider they can rely on to help them solve the critical business communication issues and needs of their end users," said Omar Altaji, Global Crossing's executive vice president of Worldwide Carrier Services. "Our expert design teams help ensure the optimal solution across a range of CPE, access, and service transport options, and our service delivery team manages the end-to-end implementation plan to provide on-time service delivery. In addition, our dedicated Network Operations Center for managed services has optimized its processes to provide a superior customer experience. Fully managed services are one of the reasons Global Crossing enjoys industry-leading customer satisfaction scores, as measured by a third party."

Global Crossing Managed Network Services provide a single, global relationship for end-to-end communication service needs. In addition to design and service delivery capabilities, Global Crossing provides a single point of contact for life-cycle management, maintenance and service-level agreements. Managed Network Services enable Global Crossing to provide even greater value for customers of our seamless global network in more than 125 countries.

Global Crossing carrier customers also can take advantage of the company's Global Partner Program (GPP) to support sales to their end users. A total of 57 partners now comprise the GPP, offering Global Crossing Fast-Track Services™ to their customers.

Global Crossing Fast-Track Services combine the business processes, products, services and system tools necessary for service providers to quickly offer their end-user customers end-to-end global data solutions backed by consistent Service Level Agreements (SLAs). The portfolio can help service providers avoid the costly expenditures and long lead times generally associated with service expansion. Fast-Track Services also can help drive incremental revenue for a carrier by enabling it to respond to the needs of enterprise end-user customers with out-of-region IP-based solutions.

As part of Global Crossing Fast-Track Services, the company also provides launch support to carriers, including on-boarding and training, sales collateral and dedicated partner team support, along with the tools necessary to effectively deliver a positive customer experience.

Global Crossing is one of the few service providers to earn the Cisco® Powered designation for Multi Protocol Label Switching Managed Internet Protocol Virtual Private Network (IP VPN) Service and its Managed Dedicated Internet Access (DIA) Service. These designations recognize Global Crossing for having acquired the Cisco technology to help deploy, manage and support these services globally as standard elements of Global Crossing Managed Network Services. Cisco-based Managed Network Services also are available for Global Crossing Asynchronous Transfer Mode and Frame Relay services.

Cisco Powered Managed Service designation requirements are based on the Information Technology Infrastructure Library® (ITIL) framework of best practices, as well as market and industry requirements.
