GM India rolls out a unique ‘Spark Muzic Anthem’ contest

New Delhi: General Motors India has rolled out a unique online contest, the ‘Spark Muzic Anthem’, revolving around the recently-launched Chevrolet Spark Muzic, a new variant of GM India’s best-selling mini car, the Chevrolet Spark. Participants in this contest will have to sing the ‘Spark Anthem’ to win fabulous prizes. The first round of the contest has already begun on Feb 15th, 2009 and entries will be accepted until 11:59 PM, Pacific Time on Mar 6th, 2009. The winners will be announced during the second week of April, 2009.

Participants on the World Wide Web who sing the ‘Spark Anthem’ in their own ‘andaaz’ (style) and upload it on http://www.chevyspark.in/sparkmuzic/index.aspx, stand a chance to win prizes. All entries will be judged by a panel of experts, and the shortlisted candidates will be voted for by the public. The candidate would be awarded for voice quality and creativity shown. There will be ten winners and each one will receive a a 30GB Apple Video iPod. In addition, there will be twenty consolation winners and each one will receive an MP3 player.

Commenting on the contest, Mr. Ankush Arora, Vice-President, Sales, Marketing and Aftersales, GM India said, “The special edition Chevrolet Spark Muzic, which comes with several new exterior features that make it extremely sporty and stylish, also keeps you
entertained with music from a new 2-DIN music system. The Spark Muzic has many more treats to offer and one of them is the ‘Spark Muzic Anthem Contest,’ which will provide consumers fun and an entertaining means to win attractive prizes. The initiative undertaken is another innovative use of the internet and yet another example of GM India reaching out to its valued customers.”
