Philanthropists Graham and Louise Tuckwell have officially welcomed 25 new Tuckwell Scholars who have started their studies at ANU in 2018.

Graham and Louise Tuckwell spent a week at ANU and hosted a special lunch for the new Tuckwell Scholars and their parents. The lunch was part of Tuckwell Commencement Weekend, which celebrates the arrival of new scholars each year.

The visit to ANU coincides with applications opening for the Tuckwell Scholarships for 2019. Information on how to apply is available at http://tuckwell.anu.edu.au/applying.

Now in its fifth year, the Tuckwell Scholarship is one of Australia's most prized student scholarships, providing more than $21,000 a year to 110 students, as well as program of enrichment, mentoring and support.

The Scholarships are funded by the largest contribution from an Australian to an Australian University.

Graham and Louise Tuckwell started the Tuckwell Scholarships with a commitment worth $50 million in February 2013, but they have since more than doubled their contribution to be worth around $100 million.
