Edinburgh College staff and students are staging performances of the National Theatre of Scotland’s Great Yes, No, Don’t Know Five Minute Theatre Show on Tuesday 24 June.
The free event will take place at the college’s Performing Arts Studio Scotland (PASS) from 9am-5pm and will feature performing arts lecturer John Naples-Campbell and PASS students.
Staged at various locations across Scotland, the UK, the world and the web over 24 hours starting on Monday 23 June 2014 at 5pm, the event involves 180 five-minute plays that provide a dramatic response to the theme of independence.
The project was set up by co-curators David Greig (The Strange Undoing of Prudencia Hart, Dunsinane) and David MacLennan (A Play, A Pie and A Pint series at Òran Mór), and will continue in the memory of David, who died on 13 June. It will feature some of his final pieces of writing and will be a tribute to his enormous contribution to theatre in Scotland.
