Green & Clean Mom, LLC Launches a new and improved site!

Michigan , May 25, 2008: Green & Clean Mom, LLC, launches its new online site with weekly “green” giveaways for the next two months to celebrate, reward and encourage all moms to be some shade of green. Green & Clean Mom as mentioned in the New York Times is currently, www.greenandcleanmom.blogspot.com and as of June 1, 2008 will be www.greenandcleanmom.org. Giveaways from companies such as Stonyfield Farms, Zappos, Reusablebags.com, Boon, Stubby Pencil Studio, Baby Legs and many, many more. Opportunities to win a new blog design, organic snacks and food, stylish organic and green apparel, green reading material and support, earth friendly toys and the list keeps going! To kick off the launch Green & Clean Mom will be hosting a pre-launch giveaway to help spread the word. More details and information on prizes and how to enter can be found at the current site.

The new site, www.greenandcleanmom.org, will include but not be limited to education information on environmental issues, green products and reviews, green and clean shopping and fundraising. Green & Clean Mom, LLC will host a forum for moms to communicate with one another, help educate each other, contribute, win products and generate ideas. The concept behind the site is for moms of all backgrounds to be some shade of green. Not every mom is going to collect rain water, compost or drive a hybrid. That is okay at Green & Clean Mom. The idea is that each mom needs to do something each day and be some shade of green. We can’t all do everything but we can all do something and at Green & Clean Mom, there is something for everyone. It’s a place where being green is sexy, sassy and fun!

Green & Clean Mom, LLC will also be rolling out and launching a fundraising program to help daycares and childcare centers go BPA free. All readers will have the option of helping raise money to support this cause. The program will donate products to daycares and preschools and be funded by individuals that donate through the site, buy products through the site and support the advertising of the newsletter campaign. Green & Clean Mom is saving the world one sippy cup at a time!

Who’s the face behind Green & Clean Mom, LLC? Sommer Poquette and she is an educator with a teaching degree and two classes shy of a Master’s in early childhood education (blogging and children happened). With two children, Sommer works from home. She researches, investigates, reviews, promotes, markets, sells, and educates on green products, companies and news that mom readers would enjoy. Sommer offers consulting for companies wanting to go green and market to moms as well as training and speaking opportunities for schools, daycares and groups wanting to learn about ways they can 'go green'. Sommer is a contributing author and editor for Busy Mommy to help reach moms about environmental issues. She has non-profit and fundraising experience and is using her experience, her site, child development education and passion to help daycares and preschool centers be safer places for children. Sommer has worked with PR firms representing companies such as PUR, Camelbak, and Stonyfield Farms. Most people don't even realize that mommy blogging is a business and that moms hold a lot of spending power but just recently, the Today Show caught on and so have many marketing firms and companies!
