Power industry expert to leverage NetPower and Texas Instruments experience

PLANO, TX (February 23, 2010) – Lineage Power Corporation, a Gores Group company and the first name in power, today announced Ed Wiest has been named director of distribution sales. Wiest will be based at the company’s Texas headquarters, reporting to Jeff Frank, president for the OEM Embedded Power business unit.

“Ed brings a strong power industry distribution, sales, and marketing background to Lineage Power,” said Jeff Frank, president of the Lineage OEM Embedded Power division. “His proven track record of revenue growth, channel development and sales management will drive profitable share gain and trust through integrated go-to-market demand generation in partnership with the channel.”

Wiest joins Lineage Power from Ocular LCD where he was director of sales – achieving double-digit revenue growth in a challenging economic climate. Prior to that, Wiest was vice president sales and marketing for NetPower Technologies. He will leverage distributor’s immediate product availability, advanced logistics, and attractive financing lines of credit to grow Lineage Power market share and awareness.

Wiest has more than 20 years of experience in the power and electronics industry, having held a number of sales and marketing roles at Texas Instruments and Wyle Electronics. Wiest also spent time in field sales management at Dallas Semiconductor and International Rectifier. Wiest earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering degree from North Dakota State University.
