HAIGHTS CROSS COMMUNICATIONS APPOINTS KEVIN BRUEGGEMAN PRESIDENT & CEO OF TRIUMPH LEARNING

New York, NY – August 25, 2011 – Haights Cross Communications, a premier educational and library publisher, has announced the appointment of Kevin R. Brueggeman as President and Chief Executive Officer of its Triumph Learning, LLC, business unit. Triumph Learning, based in New York City, is the leading provider of state-specific, standards-based education materials for grades K-12. Brueggeman succeeds Ron Schlosser, Haights Cross Communications’ Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, who has been Triumph Learning’s interim president/CEO. The appointment is effective immediately.

Brueggeman is currently a private equity mergers and acquisitions advisor and angel investor based in San Antonio, TX. He has held President/CEO positions with Pearson Education, Harcourt Assessment, Inc., AGS Publishing, Inc., and Experior Assessments, LLC. He received a B.S. from University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, and completed the University of Minnesota, Carlson School of Management, executive business program.
