This self-made June Halloween has turned into the perfect time for lovers of this spooky Halloween to gather, celebrate the season, and conjure up Halloween costume ideas.

Halloween officially only happens once a year, but to a select group of individuals who host the annual "Halloween in June" convention it happens twice a year. This self-made June Halloween has turned into the perfect time for lovers of this spooky Halloween to gather, celebrate the season, and conjure up Halloween costume ideas.

"I personally love Halloween", said Jane Rivers. "I love the candy, the dressing up, the parties, and just the atmosphere it creates. I wish it could be Halloween all year round, but it can't. That was why I came up with the Halloween in June idea."

Jane Rivers decided to create the Halloween in June convention. This allowed her to celebrate the holiday with other enthusiastic people.

"This convention is more than just people gathering and discussing what they want to do in October", said Rivers. "We decorate the entire convention center up with Halloween decorations. We have a haunted house and corn maze. We have guest speakers and vendors here. It really is amazing."

This small convention has turned into a worldwide favorite hangout spot. The convention started with just under 30 people attending and has turned into a convention that attracts over 50,000 people.

"We started out with a small group of people and it just seemed to grow and grow", said Rivers. "We sell out the convention every year. It's amazing."

One of Rivers' favorite parts of the convention is the opportunity to discuss with other people what their favorite Halloween costume ideas will be. This discussion group allows people to gather and share creative ideas for Halloween costumes.

"I don't think I could have made such amazing Halloween costumes if it weren't for this amazing discussion group", said Rivers. "We gather and talk about what we want to do. People are always helping and enhancing the costume ideas, and we walk away with some amazing Halloween costumes."

There are current talks of taking this Halloween convention national. Currently, it has been held in the same location every year, but Rivers would like to see other people from all over the country enjoy this unique convention.

"It is my hope that people all over the country will see June as the month for Halloween", said Rivers. "Almost like a Christmas in July thing. I am thinking of taking the convention to other locations throughout the country, but until then it stays here."
