Hambrook through to last four in Bateman Trophy

Darren Vickery claimed 5-3 from just 2.4 overs for Hambrook who brushed their way past Pucklechurch by five wickets on The Common for a five-wicket win in the Bristol & District’s Bateman Trophy quarter-finals.

Puckle slipped from 71-6 to 75 all out with Anant Tambvehar (pictured, image by John Kelland) taking 1-16 after Lee Harding (1-18) and Bob Waterworth (1-22) had also struck.

Hambrook then booked their passage thanks to Richard Dyer (25) and Vickery (23).

Bristol Pakistanis, who are bidding for their third successive Trophy triumph, dismissed Bitton for 108 thanks to Amjad Mehmood (5-23) before opener Malik Waqar (70 not) rushed his side to a nine-wicket win.

 Also in the hat for the semi-final draw are Bohemians who won by 12 runs at Cleeve, and Coalpit Heath who overcame Barrow Gurney by 54 runs, Ryan Williams smashing 52.
