Hapag-Lloyd Chassis Program – USA Chassis Provider Summary - October Update

Hapag-Lloyd provides information of preferred chassis providers for the November schedule.

Shippers, their agents, or consignees may secure chassis directly from any leasing company, or any other chassis provider of their choice.

While we do recommend that you make arrangements with the same chassis providers that Hapag-Lloyd has supported, we would like to share some other alternatives with you as well.

• Currently there are three national chassis suppliers in USA. We have provided a list of chassis providers at the end of this letter with whom you can contact to make arrangements for chassis provision. We do recommend that you select a partner that participates in the same chassis pools as Hapag-Lloyd in order to achieve the pool synergy and avoid additional local operational costs, such as Flips (lift on and off a chassis) and Splits (move container to one location and chassis to another).
• These vendors can supply chassis either through lease or a daily usage commitment. You can contact them to discuss what is best for your requirements.
