WASHINGTON, DC, November 15, 2010— Harris Corporation (NYSE:HRS), an international communications and information technology company, has been awarded a $77 million contract by the National Capital Region Contracting Center to provide IT infrastructure for the newly relocated U.S. Army Materiel Command (AMC) Headquarters building at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama. This is the second major military headquarters relocation contract for Harris, which is completing work on a similar relocation installation for the U.S. Southern Command Headquarters in Miami, Florida.

Under the AMC contract, Harris will engineer, furnish, install and test the command, control, communications, and computer IT (C4/IT) infrastructure, which includes audio-visual and video teleconferencing equipment. The contract includes one base year and two one year option periods, during which time the company would provide operations and maintenance support, as well as help desk capabilities.

"We are proud to continue our support to the Army operational commands through this headquarters relocation."

The AMC provides the technology, acquisition support, materiel development, logistics power projections, and sustainment to the Army across the spectrum of joint military operations. This contract was awarded under the nine-year, $20 billion Information Technology Enterprise Solutions- 2 Services (ITES-2S) contract vehicle, which is the preferred method of contracting for services and supplies for the Army.

The Harris team includes subcontractors General Dynamics IT (GDIT), AVS (Audio Visual Systems Inc.), ASD (Advanced Systems Development Inc.), By Light Professional IT Services (ByLight), Microtech, IBM, and nLogic.
